Inclusive design aims to break through the barriers of exclusivity and create spaces, environments and an understanding in which everyone can participate. The aim of this design principle is based on equality, confidence for all and to be able to move independently through spaces n everyday activities. Stellenbosch Public Art Network aimed to rebrand and create an integrated campaign through inclusive design by making art accessible for all people in Stellenbosch. My concept revolves around the hand: the making, the feeling, and experiencing of art therewith. I used the hand sign for “made you look” to create a logo and symbol to represent SPAN, create an interactive campaign and most importantly represent an accessibility of at in public spaces.
