A data visualization project using Paraview.
Paraview is a configurable application for visualizing scientific data with simple graphic interface, which incorporates methods for image processing such as filters for segmentations and supports distributed computing and several operating systems.
The wind speed was the weather phenomenon chosen to develop our project. The artistic potential of this phenomenon seems obvious to us (the movement, feeling the gulf, the euphoria of speed, etc..).
This mass was measured on an isobaric surface of 500hPascal, which in meteorology is named "half atmosphere." The measurements were made between the meridians -45º to +45º and the parallels 80º and 20º, at 12h, 18h and 24h of April 5, 2001, at 6h and 12h and the 6th of the same month and year. These data were kindly provided by Prof. Beatriz Carmo, Faculty of Science, University of Lisbon.
