Craftsmen in Japan and all over the world continue to appreciate the fine qualities of Chiba Artisan Tools. They are still produced by hand, in traditional blacksmith studios that ring with the sound of daily hammering!
This project hosted by Chiba university and cooperate with "Gokoo Hamono(五香刃物)".
"Gokoo Hamono" is small factories that produced knife by hand with the high qualities.Through many surveys and interviews,we made new brand image design for "Gokoo Hamono", including Video, Package, Logo and Pictorial book.

This video introduces the manufacturing process of kitchen knife that made in "Gokoo Hamono", Unlike the common documentary films, the video focuses on the sound of each manufacturing process,and remix these sounds into music.

Logo design for " Chiba Artisan Tools"
千葉工匠具のロゴ
千葉工匠具の工匠の文字をモチーフにマークを作成しました。マークは和の感じと印鑑の質感を取り入れています。ロゴタイプは溶接の感じを表すよう角を丸くしています。

五香包丁は普通の包丁より値段が高いので、パッケージングはもっと高級（こきゅ）の感じを示します

This booklet focuses on tools that are used to produce a meat cleaver.
道具の図鑑
本冊子では一丁の（牛刀）を製作する際に使用される道具に着目し、す
べての道具の写真と使用する工程を図鑑のように記載しています。この
冊子をみることによって千葉工匠具の工程や道具の多さ、美しさや格好
良さを感じて頂けたら幸いです。
