Erkin Koray, the Turkish singer-songwriter and guitarist, is also one of the major figures in Turkish psychedelic music and Anatolian Rock by the 1960’s & 70's. Koray also has an important role in Turkish music history in terms of inventing “electric bağlama”, a traditional Turkish musical instrument, which can be heard on many of Koray’s albums with its unique sound.
