Techno - Ekstasis

At the end of the '80s a new musical subculture was formed, which once and for all transcribed the (youth / pop) culture. The music of this subculture is called techno.
1. (mysticism, philosophy) The state of being beside oneself or rapt out of oneself.
This music has a monotonous, fast, repetitive 4/4 beat, featuring very high volume and light effects. A techno party creates a virtual space that could best be compared to the heterotopy of Michael Foucault where the utopian space outside the society is still within society.
I also became the part of this subculture a year and a half before i started working on this photoseries. I liked the fact, that time to time in techno parties I could completely dislodge myself from the "normal" world and everyday life. What seemed to be a simple recreational form for me was later attributed to me with deeper content. Then I decided to try to express what techno means for me with the tools of photography. In the beginning i took photos on parties, but after a while, i realised that  photos of spcaes and people releted to techno, can express more than party photos.
For me, Techno creates a state of mind, where I could take questions, find answers about myself, and the world around me.
