Project: OUT GREEK Fest
Client / Creative Director: Harvey Jackson
Product: Illustrations for the event's website and social media.
Working on this project was incredibly refreshing and Harvey was a great creative to team up with. He approached me with clear ideas about the website structure, color direction inspired by my very own portfolio and lots of tasteful references. I'll share with you some of his directions given at the beginning of the project, my sketches and final artworks.
OUT GREEK Fest is a LGBTQ event for Greek Organizations (fraternities and sororities) which are primarily African American with a mix of Spanish. The color palette represents that imagery of "people of color".
Client's notes:
-Event 1 and 2: the first event is a regular gay club event with a mixed crowd. The Second party across the street will be a erotica themed party. This why I wanted an image that is connected but separated by the color. - Greek Code is a forum for greeks who create code “HTML,CSS, etc.” to come together and help each other.
The next illustration is for the "Donation" page and it's really one of my favorites. It required some investigation about greek letters and their hand gestures. It also shows different body types and lots of details on their cloths inspired by the AfroPunk scene.
Event's promotion on social media included a Facebook banner, an Instagram post with information about what to bring to the park, Instagram stories and Snapchat filters.
