Classic Lithuanian literature for scholars
I wanted to make the classic national literature more appealing for the scholars who are obliged to read these books in high schools. Just as importantly, the project was aimed at raising interest in their authors. Design of the books currently used in schools is very formal and strictly structured which only strengthens the feeling of standardization innate to the list of required reading.
In order to intrigue and convey the youthful, rebellious spirit, covers were designed by disobeying conventional rules (e.g. the grid), playing with typography, using bright colors and selecting those photos of the writers that reflect their unique personalities better.
