Vegas Poster: AM/ PM

We were asked to pick a font, and make a poster that we felt best summarized the city of Las Vegas. Part of this assignment also asked that we inform the viewer on the history of the font we picked.
For this poster, I chose Lucida Bright as my font, and I used the words "AM" and "PM" to describe Las Vegas. I wanted to represent the city through time; it's a 24/7 city, so there's almost no concept of time. I picked yellow and black to represent day and night, showing that these ideas are constantly conflicting with one another.
