These photos were taken at different locations along the Rocky Mountain chain spanning Colorado. This panoramic photo sets aims to embody the vastness of the Rocky Mountains while also appreciating the smaller details of mountain life. The beauty of extreme mountain conditions is communicated through dualism: black and white, frozen ground under harsh sunlight, snow tipped rocky mountains towering smooth crystal clear lakes. For this photoset I was inspired by Ansel Adams and the tactile grain of traditional darkroom photography aesthetics.
