Robot hunter
Idea
The idea for this character came to me when I was drinking tea with a colleague of mine and complaining about not having any fun ideas. At that time I already was crazy about drawing robot characters, but I needed a boost of inspiration. So we started to brainstorm about robots laughing ourselves crazy from all of the weird and funny ideas that we could come up with.
And at some point we thought about a tribe of robots hunters: imagine a sort of a playground (like a piece of forest or any wild land) where people come to hunt. They choose weapons and go to the field to hunt for a small target-robot. But to add the element of a competition humans play against robots hunters. So you have a "tribe" of hunting humans against a "tribe" of robots. The winner is the team that scores more points hitting the target robot.

So, this character is a representative of such a robot hunter.
Process
I have made this drawing on my iPad in Procreate. Because the idea was that the character should have more or less human forms an proportions I first sketched a human figure that makes a greeting gesture (because this drawing is an introduction of the character) and then made a rough sketch of what a robot might look like.

When the rough idea was done all that I had to do is to polish the lines and introduce some fun colors.
