Buggy/Sweepstakes Interior- Carnegie Mellon University

“Nothing else embodies CMU better than Buggy as it combines so many disciplines: athletics, engineering, and design. That should be celebrated.”

A partnership with Carnegie Mellon's Student Affairs and Marketing & Communications has led to a revision of residential life on campus. 2017's focus was Stever House, the first Leed-certified residence hall in the U.S. and home to the maker spaces where the iconic Buggies are created.

This project required historical research along with incorporating advocate input from students and alumni of the Buggy tradition. The solution involved finding details that felt intimate to alumni while presenting the larger story to prospective families taking part in the admission/touring process.
