7de Laan has been a television mainstay for 15 years. 
As a daily constant, the show has not only entrained us, but has informed our understanding of a developing democracy 
Of the value of community and how, no matter how different we may seem, our experience is shared and transcends geography. 
It is a Heritage brand in entertainment, and we all have a home in 7de Laan, but every home deserves a revamp.
Pollen creative media, along with HeyFever where tasked to do it!
Starting with a refresh of the logo that could still feel familiar but launch the show into a modern world.
The old intro was loved for it's peek into the suburbs of Johannesburg.
The 7de Laan title sequence, with its indelible theme by the late Louis van Rensburg, has become an important South African cultural signifier unto itself. This treatment serves to not only recognise the significance of the original, but to build and expand on this tradition. By now, we, as the viewer, are as much resident in 7de Laan as the characters who live and work in Hillside
 –  and our objective was to experience a “day in the life” from a first person point of view.
The teams from Pollen creative media, along with HeyFever conceptualised, designed, shot and animated the entire new intoduction sequence. The new logo was designed by Liam Longland and refined and animated by Colin O'mara Davis.
