Gerrett Rice's profile

Biomedical Informatics at the University of Florida

The University of Florida's Biomedical Informatics Program focuses on identifying health care trends across different populations. Using electronic healthcare records, researchers identify  underserved populations and address the nation's most pressing health concerns.
In order to effectively market the degree and certificate programs, the Biomedical Informatics Program needed a visually-communicative and eye-catching design. Hexagons, associated with chemical compounds, draw a connection to health sciences (but a cool edgy health science). The binary code references computer programming and data analytics, and human figures tie biomedical informatics to the populations they serve - each population group with unique health concerns and needs.
Icononography directly below the title helps explain the complex field that is biomedical informatics and informs prospective students of the core concentrations within the program.
The reverse side of the document features descriptions of the degree and certificate programs, giving interested readers enough information to inspire further action.
