When I created the Kentucky Browncoats, it was with the goal of bringing the fandom together. One of the requirements of attending conventions is an interactive component. The idea of creating a Cornhole game came about after watching Serenity, the follow up movie to the Firefly series. Wash, the ship’s pilot, was killed during a Reaver attack by a large spear. The jokes started among the fans and cast alike about Wash being “run through”. Cornhole was the obvious choice.

And if you are a Firefly fan, well, I’m going to the “special hell” for this one. LOL
For a suggested donation to a local Kentucky-based charity, people will be given three chances to get a bean bag tossed into the hole. If they hit it, they are given a button or sticker (last image). I’ve not seen anyone with this idea so, at the time of its creation, it was an original idea. Something rare in itself. I’m fairly happy with how it turned out and have a local craftsman, Gambill Woodworking, creating the boards and the bean bags will be made to spec out of fabric of my own design. This is a digital mockup.
The tikki surface design is one of my own and meant to add a whimsical element.
The Kentucky Browncoats does not make any money on this. It’s sole purpose is to entertain, bring the fandom together, and do some good in the process.
