Comfort, Ruin, and Renewal is a project created to show the three different states of a family home before and after a house fire. Comfort is about the nostalgia and safety of the old house. Ruin contains images from when the house was still in it's destroyed state and Renewal is about the new house being built in it's place.
Viken
Final Webpages, Spring 2017
Viken is a simple and easy way to plan all of your travels. Collaboratively designed with Juliette Wang, Viken is a website meant to make planning less difficult by keeping everything in one place including your hotel bookings, flight information, and itinerary. There is also a feature that allows you to plan a trip from scratch and add friends into your group so they can see and edit the plans as well. The Viken logo is a V but is also meant to resemble a destination pin on a map. The homepage illustrations were designed by me.
Goop Typeface
Final Poster and Final book, Fall 2017
Goop is a typeface that was designed after choosing an already existing typeface and carefully examining it. The studies were done to try and get a feel for the typeface and the elements that hold it together and eventually led me to handprint the entire thing. The type specimen, poster, and book are meant to showcase the final typeface and some of its details.
Blooming
Final Poster, Fall 2017
This is a poster that I designed through a combination of wood type, lead type, and pressure printing. The poster is about getting through being emotionally abused. The wood type was printed first and the pressure print was done on top of it to create an illusion of the type coming through or disappearing between the flowers and leaves.
