Zaha Hadid – Inauguration MAXXI
To get a deeper understanding of the history of Graphic Design and Typography I participated in a semester long workshop on letterpress printing. In the workshop I learned the origin of many design terms and learned some new typographic rules. As a final project we had to choose an architect and create a poster for an upcoming exhibition. The fluid and kinetic forms of Zaha Hadids buildings mesmerized me. Especially the MAXXI museum in Rome had a great impact on me. For the posters I adopted the color scheme of the museum and also the hanging bars from the roof which stood out to me.
