Otakon 2012 Program Book

The Otakon 2012 Program Book
The Official Otakon magazine. 36,000 copies printed.
The 2012 Otakon Program Book is the result of three months of collaboration between myself and my team consisting of six designers. The theme for 2012 was "Food/Cooking."
Cover art by Julia Lichty.
Each year the President of Otakorp, Inc. and the Convention Chairman of Otakon write a welcome letter to the membership who attend the convention. This year it was our challenge to incorporate more photos of people dressing up as their favorite anime characters. That has always been a highlight in previous years.
A new section for recipes was added to fit in with the theme for the year. Recipes were submitted by staff and were all tested by the Publications Department before publishing. It was a fun exercise in photography and layout.
