Branding
This year my wife Fi and her business partner Casey have founded an all-female coffee roastery called Girls Who Grind.  I have been working with Fi to create all the branding and a series of illustrations focusing on inspiring female figures.  Girls Who Grind are living and working to a very strong concept :

"We're here to big up the ladies in the coffee industry, from the female farmers through to the coffee drinkers. We source all of our coffees from female producers and farmers and those who work to support them."

As you'll see we have designed everything from packaging to promotional postcards and from holographic stickers to wholesome graphic t-shirts.
I illustrated a series of inspiring women, some real figures who have inspired the Girls Who Grind and some imagined characters.  These illustrations were used across social media to build the brand and introduce the concept behind Girls Who Grind. As the roastery moves forward I will be illustrating a different character for each coffee pack and piece of promotional material.
Girls Who Grind's first coffee pack is inspired by the work done by Coppafeel! for breast cancer awareness, with a portion of profits going to the charity.
For Girls Who Grind's second coffee pack we took inspiration from the Vunga Cooperative in Rwanda who work in the bean production process.
Following the success of Girls Who Grind's t-shirt line, we worked together to design a set of ceramic mugs, developing the brand into 3 graphic patterns.
Girls Who Grind launched their debut coffee roast at Festifeel 2017 in aid of Coppafeel!

We wanted the branding and the illustrations to be prevalent across the site, built with Squarespace.  Check out the website on GirlsWhoGrindCoffee.com.
