As a student, I was asked to redesign our University's existing online enrollment system. This project outlines a bit of my research process and my proposed solution.
This is one of the personas I developed based on my user interviews.
Students would have the option of completing a survey, located in their Profile, to receive personalized course recommendations.
The main dashboard shows a student their progress in 1 of 3 categories (Generals, Major, or Minor) depending on selected tab and filter as well as their overall progress and any pertinent reminders.
The dashboard also outlines courses needed to complete requirements, which can be clicked on to easily enroll through the Planner.
Students can filter their class searches by category, day and time the class is offered and more.
Students can also view brief course descriptions and reviews upon hover or have the option to click the class for more detail or questions.
Enrolling in a class requires one click and automatically appears in their schedule calendar. Students can also save a class to enroll for future semesters.
