IMRAM
In collaboration with IMRAM, a group of 2017 DIT visual communications students staged a postcard exhibition of a typographically interpreted Irish language literature texts. The promotion of IMRAM Irish Language Literature Festival. IMRAM’s message is positive and places the Irish language and its literature at the heart of public life within a modern, energetic and multicultural framework.

For my postcard I chose the poem ‘‘Ríl i dTigh an Óil’ ("Drink house reel") by Mac Lochlainn’ The poem describes the atmosphere of a drink house on a weekend, The feeling fleeting conversation like smoke threw the air is the concept behind the design.

My chosen qoute,
"poirt bhriathra
 Fáinní liathbhána toite
 ag tuirlingt go fadálach"

"Twisters. Juggled tales.
Smoke rings stretch like purring cats
 through broken glass"
