This was a fun logo design that I completed for a friend's mother who owns a rental house on Ft. Myers Beach in South Florida. 

I really just wanted to create an icon that was based off of the look of the home, and capture the fact that you can see the beach from the deck. I created a few rough sketches, and found a form that I was confident would work before I spent time vectoring the rough version. 

The color palette for this design was based off of the colors of the actual home, and I found a few typefaces that worked well in the circle lock-up pretty quickly, so I sampled them until I found this san-serif, which is consistent with the youthful vibe on Ft. Myers Beach.
