STREETlights – indoor lighting from used streetlights

In the Netherlands slowly all streetlights are being replaced for LED lights. The old luminaires usually disappear into the landfill. This inspired designers Derkx and van Doorn to gather the different shapes of streetlights to transform them to sustainable indoor lighting. The STREETlights are being assembled into new shapes, polished or painted in colour without erasing the traces from the past.
