As a public interest design intern at Our United Villages, I worked the project coordinator to support the ReBuilding Center's Commons Space design and build-out. Collaborating with a team of architects, carpenters, and the organization's staff I contributed to the finalization of designs, oversaw the preliminary prototype building process, community engagement and feedback strategies, developed a project timeline for the space's build-out, and contributed to the first phase of build-out construction. The Commons aims to engage the public with concepts of creative reuse of urban waste materials, in addtion to Our United Villages’ various resources (The ReBuilding Center, Creative ReUse, DeConstruction, Volunteer Services, ReUse Library, and the Community Legacy program) through multiple avenues.
