YORN (Young Original Network) is Vodafone’s network for the under-23 in Portugal. Yet, the brand’s reputation had grown as old the as under-23s of the 90s, when the brand was launched.
In 2015, it was injecting 5GB per month in its YORN X pack to give the brand a facelift.
At JWT Lisbon I came up with a campaign that spoke the language of these internet-sucking millennials. It was an animated gif campaign with over 40 instalments that ran on TV, and a little all over the internet. Here’s a sample of the mosaic we created.
The campaign was timely enough to hit the market just as Facebook started embedding animated GIFs, making it an instant success
