Real-To-Reel Event Poster

The Main Event
Poster Design for Real-to-Reel
The club president, Carol, for Real-to-Reel contacted me via email in desperate need of an event poster design within the day: the club's event was less than a week and a half away and advertising needed to happen. The only description for aesthetics I was given was "it needs to look filmish." After further inquiring, the looks was extended to include "funny, eye catching, and colorful."

I quickly looked at inspiration and found the 2011 Chicago Latino Film Festival poster and thought that it completely embodied the descriptors requested. Carol loved the image. We had decided to create an image around a ferret just for the mere randomness of it. To reflect the title of the event (The Main Event), I thought that Charlie Chaplin would be a great counterpart, and so the ferret was dressed in the style of the beloved Mr. Charlie Chaplin.

By the end of the day, I had illustrated and produced a whimsical, funny and eye-catching poster.
Final design.
