STAINED
INSPIRED BY STEEL
The ‘Stained’ photo shoot was born from a design brief that placed steel as a center piece of inspiration. Steel is one of the most commonly used elements in the world and is known for availability, durability, and malleability. The colour scheme was drawn from the many occurring forms on steel along with its oxidized form, rust. The idea was to highlight the element as nothing other than what it was; Common, plain, rusted...
In a sense, the element was ‘stained’ with its own imperfections. Finishing off with steel and rust inspired tones in makeup and hair.
Location options were narrowed down to a metal scrap yard, to achieve a grunge look or a studio to achieve a plain, light effect. The wardrobe was created using items and fabrics from our own closets and collections. And a volunteer model was found. Her natural features, along with the afore decided make up profile were key in created the ‘steel pixie elemental’ look we ended up with.

I call the section below "My Scrambled Egg".
Not everyone appreciates the wholeness of a fried or poached egg.
Same applies to this, not everyone may appreciate this
These are screen grabs of various section of a part of a whole picture put into a grid (My Scrambled Egg).
It  gives the viewer a different perspective to view a picture from.
This is also a way of drawing  attention to the details of the accessories
