Secret Opening Night

Aloha.

I painted this scene in celebration of the opening of the Hula Hideaway Bar.
It shows the ceremonial lighting of the first Tiki torches—inspired by the 1960s Mystery Bowl ritual performed at the Mai Kai Tiki Bar in Fort Lauderdale. Imagine some exotic Polynesian island music and you'll want a Mai Tai immediately!

The Hula Hideaway is my humble  backyard Tiki Bar.
Tucked away between swaying palm trees and bamboo, you could see its roofline peek out if you know where to look. Sometimes, when you listen closely, the sound of a cocktail shaker in the night might reveal its secret location.
