I was contacted to create a 18x24inches poster (ready for screen printing) and graphics for the first DEFY fight event, to be celebrated in January of 2017 at the Washington Hall in Seattle. The client wanted something really powerful that would transmit the feeling that an epic battle is about to take place.
Cody Rhodes is a very well known wrestler with experience in the WWE, now running in the independent circuit. Shane "Swerve" Strickland is a big rising star and this battle is a big challenge for him. Shane is from Seattle, so I drew him waiting -challenging Rhodes- over the waters of Seattle. I created a chaotic atmosphere around the fighters with huge weather events, something that talks about the impact that this fight will have during those days in the city. Thanks for watching!
