Inspired by Adobe's TAKE 10 CHALLENGE: Make a Masterpiece Edition.

I used ONLY the following ten photos from Adobe Stock and included all of them in my photo. It is inspired by Rembrandt's juxtaposition of light and dark.

I really enjoyed this challenge. I think sometimes life has a way of bouncing our boats around, and just when we think a huge wave is going to come crashing down on us, we look around and realize we're not alone on this journey.

And I completely love the pink clouds in my version. I grew up by the ocean and enjoyed skies like this. We had an old saying, "Pink in the Morning, Sailors take Warning. Pink at Night, Sailor's Delight." You can decide if this photo takes place in the morning or night.

My take on this challege: "Handle the Storm"

I merged the skies from the first three photos. Conveying an ominous, yet hopeful background.

The birds can be seen in the background amid the clouds. Reminding us to rise and try to fly above the storm.

I took three of the ships from the next two photos, showing that no matter the size of your "boat" you can get tossed around too.

The old man can be seen on the main long boat, which I took the sails off. He's the only one not looking at their impending doom, and seems to be pondering his own story. He's the only one handling this stormy life.

I turned the island upside and made it into a mountain, because there is still hope even when our world is turned upside down.

The rocks are actually the bubbles and foam coming off the main waves. Even the hard and rough spots in our life can be smoothed out with a new perspective.

The white peaks are borrowed from 2 different photos. I had fun adding my own personality to make them frothy white caps... Even though we come across huge waves in our life, we can still decide how we view them.
