These posters were created to organize the international IPATA conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
They were made to bring the theme from the website and bring a cohesive order to the conference. Many of the posters had to promote the logos of the businesses that sponsored the various events. Each of these posters were 50cm X 70cm.
The last poster promoted the Gala Event with a dog show theme.
The hierarchy on these pages is beautiful. The main title of the event is seen right after the image catches your attention. Then the eyes are drawn to the sponsors and finally the logo of the conference. That in turn leads you straight back to the main title of the poster.
The PETPort and the Registration posters were a little more challenging because I wanted to stick with the theme, but bring some variety to the picture. The PETPort one advertises a free massage, so a girl and her dog were picked to tie the typical woman activity with pets for the theme of the businesses in the conference.
The Registration poster had to include an arrow. A white arrow seemed to stand out more than a blue one on white background. I decided to make these two posters similar in design so that they wouldn't stick out as the only different ones.
The Process
In order to create these posters, I had to combine the design already published on the website www.ipata.org/kul-conference-home and the design for a program that was made by another designer on the team. After a long process of presenting different designs, we finally agreed on this one. It has the swish that had been on the program and the high definition and full color image like on the website. I also included a little of the repetitive triangle to bring it all together.
