In the brief of the competition, the embassy made it clear that they wanted a logo that would incorporate the spirit of the United States. So i thought that it would be a good idea if one of the stars of the flag was the main symbol around which the whole logo would be built.

Also, what else should be incorporated was the LGBT pride...in a few words, the human, whoever he or she is and the right not to be treated differently because of his / hers sexual preferences. So another crucial element of the logo should be the human himself. 

If we combine the star and the humans thats what we get as a result. The logo also has another meaning, the one of the union. No matter the sexual preferences, the color, the nation etc, we should all be united. 

Next up, color selection. The LGBT flag, thank god, has six of them so it was just natural to me picking all of them to "dress up" my logo.
