Design Task - Cole & Mason Ceramic Gift Collection
Objective:
Strengthen Cole & Mason’s leadership within the seasoning category by expanding its product offering; recruiting new users into the brand by bringing to launch in Autumn 2016 Ceramic Condiments Pots with wood tray, Ceramic Dipping Bowls with a wooden board, Ceramic Garlic Keeper and Ceramic Salt and Pepper Shakers on a wood tray, that are suitable for gifting.
Must Have:
Attractive wooden board.The board should either have an integrated handle to help lifting and carrying (as per other new boards). Each condiment pot will feature lids to prevent undesired exposure to the air.Each condiment pot will have its own spoon (ceramic or stainless steel).The spoon can be kept in the pot when the lid is on.The ceramic can be placed in fridge, freezer, oven, microwave and is dishwasher safe.They are an appropriate size not to need to be refilled frequently.The shakers are appropriate for HORECA as well as home users.The shakers should fit in with other parts of this gift range, other shakers and also ceramic products. A wooden board that should have features which link it to other boards in the range. The wooden Board to incorporate brand badge or engraved/etched Cole & Mason logo. A wooden tray for up to 3 dipping bowls to be placed on. (3 will be provided but users do not always want to use 3). The tray should have features which link it to other boards in the range). The tray should feature an area, which makes it is obvious where the bowls can be placed. This area should be a feature of the surface of the wood and identify to the user where the bowls are designed to be placed. It should not give three exact locations.The board should have a feature that makes it easy to pick up or move.
All regulatory and other requirements here – including market specific, 5 year warranty against product failure, breakage of parts and corrosion; All materials to be EU and FDA complaint.
