A wig shop designed for consumers to dwell about death while getting wigs customized for the preparation of their afterlife. It aims to trigger solemnness of the users while in the space though materiality and ambience. Inspired by the shrine infront of Golden Mile Complex (site), which sparked the idea to create a wig shop for use on the deathbed as the belief of “there is life after death”.
 
Deriving to the concept
The architecture of the building includes overlapping of layers which creates depth and spaces inbetween them. The wig shop mimics this language of layering and its linear form.
Why Death?, Site and Social Context
Some stores retail spiritual items and remedies, the shrine place infront of the site affirms that the wig shop would fit in within its context. 
Target consumers are users in preparation  for their look on the deathbed. Spiritual practice of Chinese to purchase an outfit to be worn on their deathbed as there is a belief that after death, one goes to a “better place”.
