I helped chose the colour scheme, and painted the set with a swirl effect. The set was to be divided into parts, in the middle with six compartments, which the actors lifted up, to reveal: three water tanks used in a cleansing ritual, three tanks full of earth, representing graves and three empty ones for holding props.

The graves
It was important to make the paint durable, as water was being splashed around, every night. The tanks were lined with plastic sheeting and reflective material to give a sense of depth.
I worked on the silver circle in which Orestes is being torn between the furies and Apollo, and the transportable gate/ temple in which Athena stands.
