As part of OMSI's continual effort to promote energy efficiency and sustainability, the museum replaced their chillers. Weighing in at over 900 tons, the chillers are used to keep the museum cool year round. The new chillers will reduce OMSI's electric use by about 20 percent, the same amount could power 120 homes for a year.
