LODY
LODY is a new type of foot motion sensing input device for smartphones and smart TV, aimed at providing an immersive entertainment experience by using a smartphone beyond its typical input methods, touching or tilting.

Based on capacitive sensing technology, LODY enables users to control and interact with the smartphone application, through a natural user interface using four types of foot motions: standing, walking, running, and jumping. The user needs only to hold one wire from LODY; it detects foot motion by measuring the changing capacitance between the ground and the human body.

- This research is funded by the goverment of Korea ($45,000, May 2012 - Feb 2013)
- Special thanks to Jungwook Park for his contribution to the development of the app
