As part of a design project at Université Paris-Sud, we worked on QR coded paper maps. The idea behind this project was sparked by trying to find the reason behind the continued existence of paper maps in tourist locations in this massively digital driven era. This then lead us to view paper maps in a brand new light and we developed an appreciation for this technology-free information source. The QR coded paper map has been designed for those tourists who love using paper maps but miss ceratin aspects that digital maps provide.
