A Day in the Life of a Graphic Designer

Time is money.
Board game design.
A Day in the Life of a Graphic Designer was inspired by a sudden new array of tasks that were previously unknown. Those having never experienced the process of design often ask, “so...what do you do?” or “do you just spend 8 hours in front of a computer?” And thus, this board game was born. Players act as designers competing for different projects within a design firm. Because time is more valuable than money in a designer’s eyes, it became the currency. The higher a player’s seniority, the more likely other players will have to spend their time on the senior’s projects.

A pastel colour palette was chosen to be paired with a neutral grey. The combination brought upon a fresh take on an environment that could potentially be very stressful. The main depiction of the game being a circle, stylistically represents a clock, or a
working day. Various line densities were used to fill sections of the broken up circle to show randomness and an orderly sort of chaos, often a scene design firms are familiar with.
