Treiglad Meddal

In mid-2013, when I was in Year 9, the school approached me to create a Welsh-language music video, promoting language skills for children ages 9-14. In the next few months we filmed, recorded and released this - a parody of Sam and the Womp's hit song 'Bom Bom'.
The video was immediately a large success in the Welsh language community, being used in classrooms across the country to help improve children's literacy and vocal skills. Currently sitting at 27,000 total views, in the next year it was nominated for several awards, winning the award for 'Highly Commended Original Digital Content' at the National Eisteddfod in 2014. A live performance was also commissioned for the Carmarthenshire County Council Stage at the same Eisteddfod.
