During the spring semester of 2015, the entire student body of the MFA Products of Design program worked with MoMA—the Museum of Modern Art—to create new products for their wholesale catalog, under the framework of “Gifting Design: MoMA + SVA Products of Design.”

Miguel Olivares designed a cheese knife emphasizing precision, especially towards soft cheeses. Miguel produce a scale physical model that was presented at the final critique to the MoMA purchasing team. Renderings were created by designer Berk Ilhan after initial prototypes, and drawings were created by Miguel Olivares.
