I spent most of 2014 working on the Neill Blomkamp movie Chappie at Image Engine.
Image Engine did most almost all of the VFX on the movie and I finalled about 60 shots, which is way more than any other movie that I have worked on.
The CG guys really knocked it out of the park on this project. The Chappie asset looked amazing and the lighting renders came out consistently perfect. Most of the comp work involved edge work and shadow integration. We usually only need to set the black levels and add defocus to the CG renders.
I’m really proud of the quality and amount of work we did on this project.
