The Fisherman at South Head

The last project for a Digital Illustration unit, we were given poems by Les Murray (an Australian poet) in regards  to the Australian language. The assignment was to illustrate a prominent scene of our chosen poem, and then futher develop it to a series of stationeries relevant to a local food event.
The chosen poem is titled - The Fisherman at South Head.
The scene I illustrated talks about the fisherman looking out to the calm and peaceful sea, but little does anyone know that a skilled fisherman is one who has gone through the roughest waves and sea which is illustrated on the back of the fisherman. It somewhat portrays the thoughts and the soul of the fisherman.
Final Illustration
The chosen event for the applications is the annual Good Friday Seafood Dinner,
to suit the theme of the illustration.
Application - Menu design
Application - Wine bottle label. Chardonnay is chosen as it is a kind of white wine that goes well with fish.
Application - Wine bottle mockup. The vintage bottle gives it a better look and feel to the fisherman theme - rugged.
Application - Takeaway bag. 'The Kraken' is used here to illustrate it's going to take your food.
Paper bag is used for environmental friendly initiatives
Application - poster mockup
