Yakoob was chosen to be the consultant for multicultural markets by the Liberal Party of Ontario to supervise the election advertising campaigns in 2003, 2007 and 2011, and the Liberal Party of Canada in 2008 and 2011.
Yakoob worked closely with the Liberal campaign teams to fine-tune the election platform and communication messages that would resonate with Canadians of diverse ethnic backgrounds.
Yakoob adapted Liberal messages in a multitude of languages from Arabic to Vietnamese, reaching out to a range of cultural groups from South Asian to South American. A sampling of advertising material produced for the different diversity markets is given below:
