The sign and corporate identity for Ru.branding project
Ru.branding (Branding + Russian paintings) — a vivid design project, showing how forgotten traditional Russian paintings have gained a new life in contemporary design. Inspired by original patterns from paintings of XVIII — early XX century, an international team of artists and designers develops solutions for metro stations, sports facilities, trucks, oil tankers, clothing and much more.
The sign and corporate identity of the project are also based on traditional characters, but converted to the present. Traditional Russian bears, dolls, balalaika in the sign do not look archaic, but ironic and cool. The characters are supported with slogans:
“A new sound for your brand”(= new insight into your brand) for balalaika
“Your product uniqueness” for matryoshka dolls
“Your company progress” for walking bear
