Initial trace – at this point I always flip the logo to get a different perspective; This helps make mistakes more noticable. In this case the perspective on the teeth was off (the further tooth was larger than the closer), and as shown with the red lines, there were some competing angles.

With the problems fixed, the color was added as well as additional features such as the whiskers and tongue. A white outline was added to help the logo stand out on a dark background.
