This124,000 GSF building serves as the social and scholarly heart of the School of Public Health. Initially considered to be simply an extension of adjacent Rosenau Hall, the positioning and design of the new building provides the School with a new and visibly energized learning commons, linking the individual buildings of the School to form a greater whole and enhancing opportunities for routine interactions among faculty and students. Externally, the building contributes to the aesthetic integrity of the historic campus, while clearly being of ourtime and providing an uplifted image for the Gillings School of Global Public Health.
