The new café/culture center is located in Prague, Czech Republic, right under the former monument of J. Stalin which stood there during the communist era and was later replaced by a kinetic sculpture called Metronome. Although the monument is long gone, locals still call this place simply "Stalin". It is very popular among young people, especially the skaters community, who sometimes call it "Stalin Plaza". The name became so deep-rooted for the locals, that it lost its actual meaning in some kind.

 

It is important to point out that the name should not endorse the figure of Joseph Stalin in any manner. It was selected as the most obvious choice and has been approved (and basically suggested) by the local city administration.
