Luminosity Studio

I have been a resident photographer at Luminosity Studio for over a year.
And after a year at this studio, I am pleased to say I have clocked photography.
Well... maybe not.
But I have learned so much!!

I have benefitted from being around other creatives in my field, not just the models in front of the camera,
but fellow photographers, hair and makeup artists, stylists, people who have their own vision on a project and
quite possibly their own way of seeing. I would not have known just how many way you could photograph a plain grey wall.
Or how to acheive different lighting effects and moods in shooting and in editting.

It is one thing to go to university and do a course and study up on the old masters.
It is another thing entirely to immerse yourself in an environment with other artists.
For anyone looking at pursuing photography as a passion or profession, I would encourage you,
find a group of people you can link in with, and learn from each other, and throw around your ideas,
and get constructive criticism from people who want to see you thrive and succeed in this.

I have grown so much in my folio, in the way I see light, in the tools I can draw upon to create my work.
Luminosity Studio for me has been more than just a space I shoot in.
It has been a supportive community with amazing people I have come to love and somewhere I am proud to represent.

Many thanks to everyone who has collaborated with me in this space thus far.
