For a brighter and cleaner world, Carbonize is designed to track our carbon footprint, to analyze and report our productivity usages and to share our environmental impact on social media and to be the motivator to our friends, families, and communities.
Carbonize also is everyone's friendly reminder. Carbonize send users notifications of about users’ utility bills and home energy. For instance, if user receive notification of the increase in water bill, user would be mindful of using water more efficiently. So not only users would save their utility bills but also improve their productivity in using electricity, water and gas at homes. This feature might inquire users’ approval to their privacy and access to their financial accounts. This feature is optional; however it is designed to be the most secured and fraud preventive. Like Mint app, Carbonize would have the same security system to guard users’ information from hacking, frauds, advertisement or third parties. With that being said, bill reminder feature will be available only for the user and excluded from everyone else, including teammates and family members (if added.)
Users will build their virtual city based on their ideals and performance. Users will have their desired theme—colors, elements, objects and characters—to freely design their virtual lifestyle. By including this section in Carbonize app, we truly hope that users will be wholly engaged and continuously committed to their goals—to create a better lifestyle and healthier world. Likely to Sim city ideas, but insomuch simpler functionality and design, Carbonize would like to provide a buffet of icons and personas, such as, farmers, farms, building, trees, bicycles, lights, windmills, mountains, nature, et cetera.
Carbonize will utilize the most informative, friendly and helpful features for users not only to track their own activities, but also to share their achievement to inspire their peers and followings. Since social networking is most popularly used in mobile apps, users are freely sharing their achievement, trophies, recommendations to travel, transport, work out or markets. Users could also send suggestions to others to shop at local organic stores, farmer markets or free-trade shops, driving tips and advices, recycling and waste outsources, and food and diet vendors.

We all love groupons, living social, or amazon locals. Carbonize loves those too. Any users who successfully achieved their goals set by Carbonize, they will earn points and save their points over time towards to discounts for some in-stock gadgets (bikes, shoes,lights,) or for discounted price to a membership to some suggestive organizations (SF bike, NRDC, SF Tomorrow, Sierra), events (marathon, 5k/10k run, or weeds in Presidio.) On the other side of this feature, carbonize raises awareness of local users and athletes, and ultimately promotes more participants to local events. Redeeming points is designed as a feature for both users and local organizations. The feature gives benefits to both users and supporting organizations. Users could actually redeem their trophies to join public, local or national activities and events. Organizations could recruit more participants and followings and eventually expand their members. Besides, points can be redeemed to buy friendly-environmental gadgets and products. This also provides a healthy and promoting market where small business or local vendors could play their part and initiate their niche market.
