Convergence - Art Exhibition

Convergence is an art exhibition held at the Station Gallery in Lock Haven, PA from January 30th to February 20th, 2015.

Convergence Press Release:
This exhibition will be a "Convergence" of past, present, 2D, and 3D art.
Lock Haven University art students and Fine Art Society Officers Michelle Albert and Logan Eck will be displaying 2D and 3D art works. Albert's works will include Graphic Design pieces such as event posters and typographical works. Her posters are influenced by various subjects such as famous designers, art movements, motorsports, fashion, and music. Albert's art also includes abstract Digital Photography, and "Light Painting". Eck will be showing a variety of pottery he created. To describe his works, Eck said, "The pieces in the show are formed through my exploration into the effects of glazing. Each work combines the same combination of glaze. Yet, due to the nature of ceramics, each one infinitely unique. "
LHU will exhibit works from its permanent art collection. The selections include contemporary artists such as American photographer Stephen Althouse as well as work from 19th Century European artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Lock Haven University has a fine collection of historically well-known artists such Tououse-Lautrec, Picasso, and Durer and it continues to add to its collection of contemporary American artists such as the aforementioned Althouse. The LHU student club, the Fine Arts Society, working in conjunction with University Art Collections Curator, Jason Bronner, have selected the works for display. Professor Bronner noted his excitement at exhibiting these works as it allows more people in the Lock Haven community to see some of the fine art from the University.
